Once upon a time, the name Gilda meant one thing only: the actress Rita Hayworth. Hayworth was the epitome of glamor in Hollywood's glamorous heyday. The movie Gilda showed Hayworth at her most drop-dead gorgeous. Not to be presumptuous, but that's the inspiration for my Gilda, and a little bit the effect I'm aiming for: surprise, excitement, star power! The neckline is feminine, the sleeves are big. This is the dress to wear when you want them to remember you.

Details

This version of the Gilda evening dress features layers of fringed sequins and embroidered black wool on tulle, all very light, on an organza dress base. It has a V neckline that fastens at the back with invisible snaps. The sleeves stay very full and extremely large in the volume whereas the body in contrast, is very fitted. The dress feels very soft and light.

The dress is designed by Julie de Libran in Paris and crafted in Italy. The fabric is exclusive and made in extremely limited quantities.
